My earliest memory of him is when he sat across from me in the cafeteria and asked me about the pictures I was drawing. He asked me questions and wanted to know all about me. And so, I thought, I was in love.
I saw him in the hallway, where he would smile at me and his beautiful face would light up my day. He would call out my name and ask me how I was, and those were the most wonderful words.
He was perfect. Everything he did amazed me. I saw him in the mall on the weekend and he wouldn’t stop talking with me. He bought me ice cream. We went for a walk. He asked if I had a boyfriend.
Then I saw him with another girl. “I thought you liked me,” I said.
“We were just friends,” he said.
So I sat through the next class wondering what I had done wrong. Was it something I had said? Something I had done?
Months passed. He never talked to me again. But over time, he didn’t look so handsome. His voice wasn’t so beautiful. He stopped walking on air and he came down to earth.
Ah, love is fleeting. A crush is just a crush.

funny how your eyes open up and see people for who they really are when love is no longer blinding you.

Yes, sadly I’ve had this happen to me a few times, even at work. I really admired this guy and wanted to work for him and learn skills from him. But when I finally got the job, I realized he wasn’t the mentor I thought he would be. I was disappointed.

Exceptional answer to the daily prompt Vanya. Well, this question is a bit complex to answer and that can be attributed to many factors.
In life, there will always be that Crush you admire and usually us young people especially we the men like to crush on a woman because she is beautiful. We get trapped by looks mostly😂😂💯.
Anyways, don’t feel bad Vanya that you once had a Boyfriend and he was no longer handsome like me😂😂, that was a joke.
Life is much bigger and more than feelings or relationships, these things pass. The key relationship is family, you need them and if you parents are both alive you are blessed🙏🙏

Yes, sometimes they seem like temporary moments of craziness and we wonder what we were thinking.

That is a question two characters in The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar ask one another. I liked this post and if you enjoy stories that combine realism, history, and romance, you will enjoy TSLS.

the young sensation of infatuation is a experience unforgettable (1st love); then naturally and with will, a grounded attention, delivery and reciprocity will grow with the right partner.
With bad partners, theres nothing, but deceit and loss.
Once the infatuation ; never, with the players.
